Can’t Randy just listen to the game on his iPod while he’s ushering?

Dear Storm & Chris,

My husband Randy has loved the Packers since he was a kid. Now they’re in the big game and have a chance to become Super Bowl champions. In fact, Randy’s best friend in Dallas had a ticket for him if he could make it to the game. But my sister is getting married that day. In fact, the wedding starts 40 minutes after kick-off. Randy already told my sister that he would be an usher, which means he’ll be busy from before kick-off until well after halftime. He’s going out of his mind. He asked me if he could bail out of his commitment, but I told him I’d kill him if he did. It’s just a GAME! This is my sister’s WEDDING! So here is his latest plan: he says he can go ahead and be the usher…but he wants to have his iPod in his pocket and listen to the game through earbuds. I told him that was ridicullous and he says I’m being unreasonable. Who’s right? Should we let him listen to the game DURING the wedding while he’s performing his duties as an usher or should he just suck it up and miss the game completely?

I’m with Stupid

Tell us! Should Randy be allowed to listen to the game on his radio while he is ushering at the wedding?

Promote recycling and make a big difference for the environment

In order to support recycling efforts, look for products made from high percentages of post-consumer waste, which is the waste produced by the end consumer of a material stream. Post-consumer waste is the garbage that individuals routinely discard, either in a waste receptacle or a dump, or by littering, incinerating, pouring down the drain or washing into the gutter.

Chris Medina dedicates his audition to his fiancee

Watch the entire video, so you can see Steven Tyler when he meets Chris’s girlfriend at the end.  When confronted with someone who is as severely injured as she is, most people are very uncomfortable and just don’t know what to do or how to behave.  Steven embraces her, talks to her and gives her the sweetest kiss on her cheek – it made us fall in love with him!  That may be the most touching moment in the entire video.

The average couple argues 312 times a year

The average couple will argue with each other a whopping 312 times a year – mostly over cleanliness, it’s been found.

Researchers discovered stubble in the sink, dirty marks in the toilet and taking too long to get ready are regular triggers for bust-ups.

Other reasons for relationship fights include flicking through TV channels and not replacing an empty toilet roll.

Click here for the top 10 argument triggers.

Join me on a trip down memory lane to a happier time way back in kindergarten times.  I remember walking single file with the class; with one of our hands clinging on a rope to keep us together as we marched to the lunch room.  After a delicious lunch, we’d once again walked single-file back to our classroom.   As we got back to the classroom and began to settle down, Teacher would tell us to get our assigned paper thin-foam mat, She would then close the blinds and turn off the lights.  As much as I tried to fight it, I’d drift off into a celebrated slumber for about a half hour.  When I would wake up, I was refreshed and ready to go!   Of course, I was not a fan of the nap when I was younger, but as an adult I often wonder why we don’t bring back the nap? Apparently I am not alone in this wish.34% of Americans regularly curl up for a midday snooze, says a study by the Pew Research Center. In a poll of 1,488 adults, 38% of men between 18 and 49 and 31% of women between 18 and 49 reported taking a nap within the previous 24 hours. In the over 50 crowd, 41% of men and 28% of women admitted catching daytime ZZZs. Naps were on the agenda for 33% of the people who earned more than $100,000 a year, 21% of people who earned between $75,000 and $99,000 a year, 31% of people who earned between $50,000 and $74,000, 35% of people who earned between $30,000 and $49,000 and 42% of folks who earned less than $30,000 a year.

I say, grab that throw blanket, curl up on the couch and start catching some mid day zzz’s!

Have a great day!

Chris

Elise & Christopher need your help!

Elise was raised with four brothers, and the entire family has always been nuts about football. The Super Bowl is bigger than Christmas for their family. They have a party every year and go crazy about the game. Elise is engaged, and her fiancé, Christopher, hates football. He not only thinks it’s a barbaric game, he thinks the people who watch it are savages also. If he is around a football party, his mouth will work overtime making fun of the game and the people watching it. Well, Elise and Christopher have obviously been invited to her dad’s house for the annual Super Bowl party. Elise doesn’t want Christopher to go because she knows he’ll start mouthing off and start an argument with her dad & brothers. Christopher wants to go anyway because…well, it IS a party.

Tell us! Should Christopher go to the party or stay behind so he doesn’t ruin it for Elise and her family?
