Robber arrives a minute too late!

At Papa John’s, police said a man came in the back door, robbed the restaurant and left with money, but then another robber came in the front and also demanded money.

Walker said the employee told the man he can’t rob them because they were just robbed.

Bank robbery suspect uses bus to make unsuccessful getaway

DAYTON — A man who allegedly robbed a downtown bank Wednesday morning tried to use a Greater Dayton RTA bus to make his getaway, but police were able to track the bus, stop it and arrest the man.

W.Va. cousins stopped with carload of jerky, Slim Jims

SOMERSET, Pa.  — Two West Virginia cousins are in the Somerset County Prison awaiting a hearing on charges they were caught with a car full of stolen beef jerky Wednesday evening.

Chief Randy Cox said the men were pulled over in the 100 block of Plank Road in Somerset because their license plate appeared to be falling off. That is when an officer noticed the jerky.

Tire thief made his capture easy, cops say

TEMECULA, Calif., Feb. 14 (UPI) — A California man allegedly stole tires using a van showing his name and number, authorities say.

Rich Richardson found more than a dozen tires missing from his Best for Less Tire Pros in Temecula Jan. 17, The Riverside Press-Enterprise reported.

Jeffrey Yancey of Rancho Cucamonga was arrested after surveillance cameras caught him and an accomplice putting the tires into a van labeled “Jeff Tires” with his cell phone number on it, court records state.

Bungling robber traced by his mask

A robber who bought a mask from a petrol station and then wore it while raiding the same garage has been jailed for five years.

Neil Simons, 27, was the only person to buy the £3.99 Halloween mask from the Co-op petrol station in Llandaff, Cardiff.

He returned to the garage three days later, wearing the mask and armed with an axe.
