Rob Pattinson’s success in the Twilight saga should come as no surprise — since he’s apparently related to a famous vampire!

Researchers at Ancestry.co.uk revealed that the 24-year-old actor has ties to Vlad III Dracula, a.k.a. Vlad the Impaler, the Transylvanian leader widely thought to be the inspiration for the main character in Bram Stoker’s legendary 1897 novel Dracula.

Supposedly, the tie between Pattinson and Vlad comes from their common relationship to the British royal family. England’s Prince William and Prince Harry are Pattinson’s distant cousins and Vlad the Impaler was their distant uncle.

Seems our favorite explosive celeb is at it again!

Russell Crowe stormed out of an interview with the BBC after a critic said his accent in Robin Hood sounded Irish. When Mark Lawson asked if the Australian actor meant to have a Northern Irish accent in the film, Crowe snapped, “No I was going for an Italian … missed it?”

He continued, “You’ve got dead ears, mate — seriously dead ears if you think there’s an Irish accent.”

Good thing there wasn’t a rotary phone lying around. .. This could have been a LOT worse!!

Say it isn’t so!!!

Mischa Barton is the next Jessica Simpson. The actress is being slammed by the media after wearing an unflattering pair of jeans. TMZ.com noted that the Barton “pour[ed] herself into stretchy banana yellow high-waisted pant bottoms, a belly baring floral top and a pair of Wizard of Oz red pumps in L.A. this weekend. Not matching is the new black.” See the picture: http://tinyurl.com/ydxlhu5

GEORGE CLOONEY’S ‘BATMAN AND ROBIN’ VOTED ‘MOST DISASTROUS FILM EVER MADE’

Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios announced on Monday (January 11th) that Spider-Man 4, originally scheduled for a summer 2011 release, has been canceled and that star Tobey Maguire and director Sam Raimi have parted ways with the franchise. The comic-book character, the subject of three previous blockbuster movies, will be “rebooted” in 2012 with a new cast, script and director.

A statement issued by Columbia Pictures said that Spider-Man, a.k.a. Peter Parker, is “going back to high school,” adding that the companies are “moving forward with a film based on a script by James Vanderbilt that focuses on a teenager grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises.”
