Okay, peeps, there wasn’t a whole lot to choose from last night in terms of really quality performances, but we perservered. Lilly gave a really good performance, but we suspect she doesn’t have a great deal of range and we’ll be seeing a lot of the same from her week after week. Nevertheless, we felt she was the best of the night.

And the worst? We were unanimous. It had to be….poor little Haeley Vaughn with her train wreck performance of “I Wanna Hold Your Hand.” It pained us.

We LOVED Ellen as a judge! She was great with the contestants and she seemed to fit in very comfortably with the other judges. And we had two favorite performers from Hollywood last night. Check them out!
Andrew Garcia turned Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up” from a forgettable throw-away, pop dance number into an actual song worth listening to! He was excellent!
And Lilly Scott’s performance of Ella Fitzgerald’s “Lullaby of Birdland” was stunning. We loved her.
