A special tribute to our troops at home and around the world will be held Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 8:45 a.m. at Gainesville Health & Fitness, 4820 Newberry Road.
Join us in dedicating a new flag and a monument in honor of the brave men and women who protect our freedom. Representatives from all branches of the service and veterans groups will be on hand to raise our new flag, with a short program to follow, including a closing ceremony with 300-plus motorcycle riders with Alachua County ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education), remarks from Sgt. Maj. Major J. Stroupe, director of Alachua County Veterans Services, and a monument dedication in the honor of our troops.
If you have any questions about the ceremony please contact Jordan Barrish at 352-377-4955.
