Vote today in the Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge!

Florida coach Billy Donovan is part of The Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge, a contest for coaches to win money for their charity of choice. Each of the ESPN Game of the Week coaches is entered and his charity will receive $10,000.

You can also go to Infiniti’s site to vote for your favorite coach or the coach whose charity you support. The winner’s charity will receive $100,000. Donovan selected the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation, a charity that aims to build a children’s hospital in Gainesville.

Donovan has been involved with the charity named after 3-year-old Sebastian Ferrero, who died in 2007 after a series of preventable medical errors. Donovan and his wife, Christine, have been open about the loss of Jacqueline Patricia, their daughter who was stillborn 10 years ago.

Voting is open until March 11.

Thank you to the fine folks at Dining Services at the North Florida Retirement Village, PK Yonge, St. Francis, Cardinal Health of Gainesville, the UF coaches wives, families and friends, Shands Children’s Surgical Center, the Sunshine Eagles FOE #4518, the Baby Gators, the Healthy Learning Academy, Crystal Air & Water, Northwood YMCA, Nationwide Insurance, the Micanopy Area Chamber of Commerce, UF Doctor of Plant Medicine Student Organization, 1st Baptist Church of Wildwood,  ACG Therapy Center and at UF Ortho Sports Medicine Institute   for joining with us to help thousands of children have a small comfort during a difficult time.

Please get involved, either as an individual or as a group!  Appoint a Jammie Czar in your office, school, church or neighborhood and help us wrap the most vulnerable citizens in our area in new, warm, soft pajamas.  These children have never had something so simple and comforting as a new pair of pajamas.  They will go to bed tonight in whatever they have worn today.  We need thousands of pairs of new pajamas for children, from infants to adolescents, which will be distributed in time for the coldest nights of the year.

The Storm & Chris Warm & Fuzzy Holiday Jammie Drive  will continue until this Friday, December 10th, and all donations of NEW children’s pajamas can be delivered to our Gainesville studios at 3600 NW 43rd Street, Suite B, Gainesville, FL 32606 or in Ocala and surrounding areas to the Early Learning Coalition of Marion County.
