Our first night in Hollywood!

We LOVED Ellen as a judge!  She was great with the contestants and she seemed to fit in very comfortably with the other judges.  And we had two favorite performers from Hollywood last night.  Check them out!

Andrew Garcia turned Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up” from a forgettable throw-away, pop dance number into an actual song worth listening to!  He was excellent!

And Lilly Scott’s performance of Ella Fitzgerald’s “Lullaby of Birdland” was stunning.  We loved her.

What on earth were the judges thinking last night? 

Simon’s right, Posh.  This isn’t Project Runway.  Maybe that’s why you’re so pouty?  Anyhoodle, you weren’t the only one with wax in your ears.  And, ladies, what was up with making that poor guy take his shirt off?  You embarrassed yourselves and the kid!  But, most of all, you should be embarrassed for putting Nicci Nix and Tori Kelly through to Hollywood.  Seriously.  Were we listening to the same singing?  You can read a recap of the entire night here.
